Connectors de mà nega de jardÃ
En la majoria de països, s'utilitza un fil brità nic Standard Pipe (BSP), que és de 3â„4 de polzada (19 mm) i 14 TPI (el dià metre exterior del Mascle és de 26,441 mm o 1,04 in.). Els està ndards GHT i BSP no són compatibles, i l’intent de connectar una mà nega GHT a un equipament BSP, o viceversa, danyarà els fils de la rosca. Hi ha disponibles diversos adaptadors de metall o plà stic per interconnectar GHT, BSP, NPT, mà nega i accessoris de connexió rà pida.
Connectors rà pids
A partir de la dècada de 1990, l'ús de sistemes de connectors rà pids s'ha popularitzat. Es tracta d’accessoris que s’enrosquen en els connectors de mà nega comuns, permetent connectar fà cilment les mà negues i accessoris mitjançant un sistema de fixació ajustable. L’estil fabricat per Gardena és comú, imitat per i compatible amb molts altres fabricants. Els connectors poden incloure opcionalment una và lvula interna que només s’obre mitjançant la connexió de l’accessori, de manera que desconnectar una mà nega amb aquest adaptador fa que el flux d’aigua s’aturi. Això facilita molt les tasques comunes, permetent intercanviar ruixadors especialitzats sense requerir dos desplaçaments de tornada a l’espigot per a cada canvi.
Hozelock

Gardena House connectors
In other countries, a British Standard Pipe (BSP) thread is used, which is 3â„4 inch (19 mm) and 14 TPI (male part outside diameter is 26.441 mm or 1.04 in). The GHT and BSP standards are not compatible, and attempting to connect a GHT hose to a BSP fitting, or vice versa, will damage the threads.

Quick connectors
Starting in the 1990s, the use of quick-connector systems has become more popular. These are fittings that screw into the common hose connectors, allowing hoses and accessories to be easily connected together using a snap-fit system. The style manufactured by
Gardena is common, imitated by and compatible with many other manufacturers. The connectors may optionally include an internal valve that is only opened by connecting the fitting, so that disconnecting a hose using this adaptor causes the water flow to stop. This greatly eases common tasks by allowing specialized sprayers to be interchanged without requiring two trips back to the spigot for each change.
Hozelock
Around 1955
Hozelock Ltd in the United Kingdom invented and patented the international standard plastic, click-on style, push-fit hose end connector now used with garden hoses. The concept was developed to replace metal hose end connectors in coal mines, which were prone to cause static sparks and the possibility of methane gas explosions. All-metal versions of the connector (and compatible with the plastic versions) are now in common use for garden hoses. The system is now universally used by gardeners throughout the world. The Hozelock brand adapters are typically available with
BSP threads, while the compatible Gardena brand, sold mostly in the U.S., uses ¾-11.5NH (
Garden hose thread) threads. There are two different sizes of the connectors available, with the larger one being rare and mainly used on
3â„4″ hoses.
