L'índex perry és un índex molt utilitzat de "Fables d'Aesop" o "Aesopica", les faules atribuïdes a Aesop, el narrador que va viure a l'antiga Grècia entre el 620 i el 560 aC. L'índex ha estat creat per Ben Edwin Perry, professor de clàssics de la Universitat d'Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
L'erudició moderna considera que Aesop probablement no va compondre totes les faules que se li atribueixen; [1] De fet, se sap que alguns es van utilitzar per primera vegada abans que Aesop visqués, mentre que el primer registre que tenim de molts altres és de més d'un mil·lenni després del seu temps. Tradicionalment, les faules d'Aesop estaven ordenades alfabèticament, cosa que no és útil per al lector. [2] Perry els va enumerar per llengua (grec i després llatí), cronològicament, per font i després alfabèticament; l'erudit espanyol Francisco Rodríguez Adrados va crear un sistema similar.
